It’s always a bit of a challenge to figure out what to do with your kids during the summertime and just how to fight that terrible thing called boredom. Below are 10 activities you can do in Boston to conquer boredom this summer:
- Go to the beach, make sure to bring sunscreen and a kite! Some great beaches to visit are Lovells Island, Pleasure Bay, Savin Hill Beach and Malibu Beach.
- Take a walk on the wild side at Franklin Park Zoo! See lions, tigers, and elephants while enjoying the sun.
- Hike at Middlesex Fells Reservation or Blue Hills Reservation and enjoy some beautiful views, lakes, and waterfalls! Perfect for summer photos.
- Visit the Boston’s Children Museum for an educational experience or the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum for the beautiful views.
- Enjoy a picnic in the Boston Public Library’s garden.
- For older kids, go to Six Flags and enjoy the crazy rides!
- Go for a family bike ride along the Charles River Esplanade.
- Check out the Year of the Dog installation in Chinatown! While you are there, take your kids to get a taste of the culture through yummy food!
- Check out Boston’s downtown providence farmer markets!
